(21/100) ice cream festival
A rare, hot (and finally dry) summer weekend in King’s Cross and it was time for “Pinky” Green to give some big love at the inaugural Ice Cream Festival by @kerbfood.
It was a fab line up with @bleeckerburger @horn_please and #sorbitumices - it was sizzling, trading was insane and Daisy was dancing.
I remember having so much fun and chatting to Katy about all our dreams. @katymarketfresh was to become our beautiful PR lady in due course. She was a big fan of Daisy and, along with her close friend @ksatehere, was a huge street food supporter (I think you were there that day?). This photo of us was taken by our dear @wilkes888 who we remember very often for his devotion to the early street food movement and to the success of so many young businesses at the time. His memory lives on within Daisy, the street food community and so many thriving businesses today.
One of the most important things with food is seeing your friends, family and customers loving what you do. It gives you the confidence to keep on going & experiment with the reward of strangers becoming friends and small moments become the spark of future adventures. This hot day in London, all those years ago, speaks to that.
