My parents were expert delegators, entrusting us four young children to deliver the successful harvest each year - all 120,000 bales of it.⁣
⁣
Preparing the ground, working all night to cut, rake and bale the grass at just the right moisture level and then getting it all under cover before the rain came  Then the big sell. A shopfront made of hay bales, advertisements in all the local papers ($ just below the competition), a queuing system and a real cash register. All run by four kids aged 7-14 years old… no joke... ⁣

Photos by my 11-year-old niece, Estelle, who is also starting young and has agreed $1 per like  for her work…. She’s the inspiration behind our Unicorn Waffles (“who doesn’t love a unicorn”) which will be sure to make a comeback soon .
