100 days of daisy.
This is our story so far.
Told over 100 days of posts.
Reliving the good times and the bad, the obstacles and the challenges of building our award winning independent family business
(17/100) salted caramel brownie recipe
Gooey and intense, yet light enough to have you going back for another.
(20/100) 2012 - the wettest summer on record
Our first summer on the streets: with five mobile machines and more than 80 festivals and events secured. The anticipation was high.

(23/100) OUR FAMOUS BANANA BREAD RECIPE - PART 2
It all starts with, you’ve best guessed it, bananas. Each loaf is jam packed with 6 ripe bananas. This really is secret no 1.
(24/100) PORTMAN VILLAGE – FIRST PERMANENT HOME
We were now in banana bread overdrive, and desperately needed a kitchen for our baking, a parking space for “Pinky” Green and a place to call home – and so “Daisy Green” was born.
(25/100) menu inspiration
A lot of hot, sunny days spent lying here daydreaming about brunch.
(26/100) aussie brunch
Developing our first Aussie Brunch menu was a huge highlight. I was 100% focused on taste, texture, flavour combinations, freshness, health and choice. Our first menu was influenced heavily by our favourite cafes from home as well as takes on great breakfasts we’d enjoyed in other travels. Basically food that we just loved.
(27/100) early days at daisy green
Early days at Daisy Green with ‘Pinky’ Green out the front and brunch being served.
(28/100) AVOcados!
Almost 100,000 avocados a year - avocados are everywhere across our Aussie Brunch menu and sourcing the creamiest is a full time job, chasing the seasons and varieties across the world. All avocados are not equal.

YOUR BANANA NEEDS YOU!
A big shout out to @Shubyart today - a truly great British street artist with a shared passion for bananas. Shuby’s iconic and tongue in cheek, “Your Banana Needs You” slogan and motif have become one of her naughty but innocent calling cards, instantly recognizable and intrinsically humorous. And we just can’t get enough!

(34/100) broccoli bread recipe
A throwback to one of our favourite vegetarian and gluten free brunch staples, broccoli bread which we served in the early days. Delicious with butter and vegemite or poached eggs, smashed avo and labneh.
(35/100) romance in little venice
Paddington Basin in early 2013 - the very start of the much needed regeneration of this inner city oasis.
(36/100) our big salad party
2013 & the high street was dominated by sandwiches and big carbs. We felt that Londoners working in the Capital needed (and wanted) more choice.
